About Adriann

Hi, I’m Adriann—a trauma therapist based in the Lower Mainland. I work with thoughtful, curious people who are tired of keeping it all together on the outside while quietly falling apart on the inside.

I have over a decade of experience working with at-risk youth, including leading multi-day outdoor wellness trips across the Pacific Northwest and New Zealand, where I taught skills such as emotional regulation, relationship repair, and resiliency training, among others. I most recently worked for the Vancouver School Board, supporting teens through a trauma-informed approach. I grew up in East Vancouver with my single mom, and bring a deep respect for the layers people carry - especially the ones that aren’t easy to put into words.

You might be doing all the right things, but still feel numb, reactive, or like you’ve lost yourself. Therapy with me is a space to slow down, feel again, and come back to what actually matters to you.

My Approach

I primarily work through a somatic lens—using Somatic Experiencing to help you understand and regulate your nervous system. I also draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Coherence Therapy, and parts work to gently explore your inner world.

This work isn’t just about insight; it’s about feeling safe enough to actually experience change. I value honesty and humour and strive to bring my full, human self into the room to meet you wherever you are. Many clients often say it’s the first time they’ve truly felt safe, comfortable, and authentic in therapy.

Who I Work With

My clients are often navigating anxiety, burnout, relationship challenges, or just a deep sense of stuckness. Many of them are helpers and high achievers and feel they have to be the “strong” one — but inside, they feel disconnected, overwhelmed, or like something’s not quite right. You might be:

  • Feeling anxious, burnt out, or emotionally exhausted

  • Grieving a loss—of a person, identity, or direction

  • Struggling in relationships or with people-pleasing patterns

  • Coping with addiction or navigating a big life transition

  • Wrestling with a quiet but persistent sense that something needs to change

You might’ve tried therapy before and didn’t feel understood. Or maybe you’re new to this and not sure what to expect. Either way, you’re looking for something real—something that helps you feel more grounded, connected, and aligned with who you are.

What You Can Expect

This is not about “fixing” you. It’s about helping you feel whole again—or maybe for the first time. Together, we’ll build capacity for things like:

  • Understanding your nervous system and how to regulate it

  • Being less reactive and more present in your daily life

  • Reconnecting with creativity, movement, or rest

  • Setting boundaries without guilt

  • Finding a life that actually fits, instead of one you're performing in
